May the Fourth Be with You: Nowhere Entertainment Celebrates Star Wars Day in Style!
Nowhere Entertainment Center transformed into a galaxy far, far away on May the Fourth to celebrate Star Wars Day! A day that evolved gradually since the late 1970s when the first Star Wars movies were released on the big screen. The creation of the unofficial day began with a pun of the jedi master’s often used phrase, “May the Force be with You”.
The Force was definitely strong at Nowhere as the Star Wars event unfolded with activities like costume contests, face painting, mini-golf specials, and Star Wars-themed treats. It was a huge hit with Star Wars enthusiasts and guests alike!
Lightsabers, Mini-Golf, and More!
Fans of all ages donned their favorite Star Wars costumes, with characters like Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Yoda, and even Ahsoka hitting the mini-golf course to test their putting prowess. The course itself was transformed with Star Wars decorations, creating an immersive experience for all. The various characters and guests had a blast navigating through the course’s obstacles. Fans even overheard Yoda exclaim, “With this primitive golf stick, a hole in one I achieved!”
Costume Contest Champions and Arcade Battles
The 25% off mini-golf admission for those in Star Wars attire sparked excitement among attendees. Their costumes and imitations added to the fun futuristic sights and sounds of the day. The costume contest winners were awarded lightsabers which they wielded expertly. While attendees not in costume tried their luck in a free drawing to take home a color changing lightsaber of their own.
Costumed and uncustomed fans took on the arcade games with vigor as they collected tickets to redeem for a variety of “out of this world” prizes. There was even a friendly racing game competition between Yoda and Rey, on the Fast and Furious arcade game. Rey emerged victorious, while Yoda quietly conceded “On this ancient machine, I surrender to the young jedi knight, this race.” Star Wars music and videos on the big screen filled the arcade, adding to the futuristic atmosphere.
Face Painting Fun
A professional makeup artist was on hand to transform the faces of young kids to mature adults into iconic Star Wars characters with her skillful brush strokes, adding to the day’s space-age theme. In her talented hands Darth Mal, Ahsoka, and others were recreated at Nowhere Entertainment as May the Fourth festivities continued. Kids and adults alike enjoyed showing off their new looks and personas as they engaged in the May the Fourth activities.
Space-Age Snacks
After a day of galactic fun, guests enjoyed delicious Star Wars inspired snacks and slushies from Nowhere Entertainment’s concession stand. Rey and Yoda even took a breather from their arcade duels to grab a scrumptious snack from Nowhere Entertainment’s mouthwatering menu options. They enjoyed a variety of tasty food including cheese curds, chicken tenders, pretzel bites and of course the day’s themed slushie, The Lightsaber Blast!
Posing with Fans and Galactic Backdrops
Once their taste buds were satisfied, Rey, Yoda, and Ahsoka posed with fans at the special May the Fourth themed photo ops. The characters and fans had a fantastic time goofing around together in front of the captivating space themed backdrops creating joyous moments and lasting memories.
